School Health Supervisor arrested for drug possession

The Health Supervisor of the Thundee District School in Laamu atoll Gan has been arrested by the Police on charges of drugs possession, reliable sources have confirmed.The sources also said that Ibrahim Zaki, of Gul’alaamaage, had been arrested last Thursday morning. Zaki had earlier worked as a Family Health Worker at the Thundee Health Centre and had been transferred to the School quite recently.Although a Police official confirmed that a person had been arrested on Thursday on drug possession charges, he did not reveal the details of the person they had arrested.The Headmaster of the School, Mohamed Khaleel, said that Zaki had come to work at the School on Thursday morning too.“However I can’t find him at the moment,” he said last Thursday afternoon. “If he has been arrested the Police would know about it right?”Khaleel also said that he had no information of the arrest of whether Zaki had even been arrested.
