Maldives Police yesterday raided a house in Henveiyru and arrested 10 people. Police yesterday evening around 2100 hours raided Henveiyru Sosun Villa for alleged prostitution and arrested 5 women and 5 men. According to eye witness the people were handcuffed when they were taken away in a police van. Eyewitness also says that one male and two of the women arrested were foreigners judging by their appearance.
H. Sosunvilla is a three storey building located on the south end of Janavareemugu. According to some of the neighbors police raided the house acting on a tip off. According to the neighbors the people who reported carried out surveillance for some nights before informing the police.
An eyewitness told Miadhu Daily that “this has been going on for several months now, many young people frequent this house, and we can see an unusual amount of people entering and leaving the house”. Full Article
