
Two soldiers of Maldives National Defence Forces (MNDF) were caught by Maldives Police on Monday evening while they were trying to loot money from expatriates.According to expatriates the two soldier has looted them number of times.
The expatriate claimed that the two men in military uniform entered the house for three consecutive nights and robbed Rf30,000, Rf24,000 and Rf12,000 after threatening them.
According to the press released by the MNDF the two soldier involved in looting were Lance Corporal Ali Ibrahim, 26, Aaraamuge, Lh. Hinnavaru who
works at Coast Guard Operations and Private Hussain Mahir,23, Finifenmaage, L. Mundoo works in
Security Services section of Coast Guard.Of these two, Ali Ibrahim joined MNDF on 2nd November 2004, and Hussain Mahir was recruited on 17th June 2008.
