Maldivian quarantined after becoming positive to Influenza A

A Maldivian woman, who returned home from Sri Lanka, has been quarantined after being tested positive to Influenza A, according to health ministry.

The ministry said in order to confirm whether she has contacted AH1N1 virus, samples taken from her has been sent out to Sri Lanka yesterday and depending on the results received, she will be released from the Quarantine Center.

The Maldivian woman was tested positive to Influenza A, when tested on her return from Sri Lanka yesterday after spending 19 days in Sri Lanka. She came under suspicion as she showed flue like symptoms during the screening process for AH1N1 at the airport, Health ministry said.more....
