Flock of herons killed by aircraft coming in for landing at Hulhule Airport

An LTU flight coming in for a landing at Male’ International Airport at Hulhule on Saturday flew into a flock of herons flying over the airport landing strip, killing several of the birds.

According to the Maldives Airports Company, the plane which was carrying German tourists to Maldives wasn’t damaged in the incident and all the passengers were safe. more....
