15-year-old stab victim dies while undergoing treatment in Sri Lanka

The 15-year-old stab victim of an apparent gang attack died on Friday morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sri Lanka.

Ahmed Shaneedh, of Gulcoze ge in Thaa atoll Vilufushi, was critically injured in an attack last Monday and was taken to Sri Lanka for further treatment last Wednesday after doctors at IGMH were unable to stabilize his condition after three days at the ICU Ward. Doctors weren’t very hopeful about Shaneedh’s chances of surviving despite their advice to take him abroad for further treatment. more....
