A newborn baby was found in north side beach area in hulhumale on Thursday around 12am.According to the police the baby was with the umbilical cord covered with a plastic bag(as shown in the picture).The baby was immediately taken to the hulhumale hospital and lately the baby was taken to the Indira Ghandhi Memorial Hospital(IGMH) and was admitted in hospital and undergoing the treatment.The police is in search for the mother.

oh yeah and then the biggest concern in Male society is about Westerners wearing bikini on Hulhumele beach whilst local families going there for a walk get shocked. What about when you locals walk on the beach and find a new born baby dumped? At least in this case I hope your concern will not be the bikini...FYI just in case you as Maldivians forgot about it: your islands and your government cash money on daily bases from bikini wearers, so stop to spill in your own rice bowl and use your brain (assumed there is one which I doubt it)
first thing i dont like the atitude, you find babies in your country in bin,own garbage on your frount porch, at least in maldives its on the beach where the people can find them, if you cant respect our cultural values please dont come to see our culture. welcometo enjoy the culture but not welcome to enforce yours on us. Poor baby i love the little baby with all my hart i am only 12 but i love the baby i hope the baby is ok and god will help he or she i cant tell because im only 12:-D
