The government of Maldives has said that they have decided to use satellite communication for tagging the inmates.Ahmed Adil the state minister for Home Affairs has said that they are getting ready for the process with the help of Wataniya Maldives which is one of the leading telephone operator in the country.He said that the tagging will include the inmates released under parole or for medical treatment.In most of the thefts and crimes in capital city Male the police catches the prisoners who have been sentenced to jail later transferred to house arrest under parole or for medical treatment or escaped.Implementing the process the authorities hope to resolve the current issues faced after the release of inmates.
