miadhuMiadhu News has learnt that the detainees at Maafushi Jail have again gone on a hunger-strike.
The Maafushi Jail detainees are said to have begun the protest yesterday morning, and 95% of inmates are now believed to be taking part in the protest.
An inmate said that "we are forced to do this again, because we don't see any action by the government towards fulfilling the vows they keep on making". He then said that the inmates had believed everything the government has told them, and that they have been accepting everything put forward by the government till now. more....
