A tourist shop in a busy shopping area in Male' has collapsed yesterday morning injuring a woman and 3 men. The famous Bamboo shop near Reef Side and STO Electronics with 2 million rufiyaa worth goods suddenly collapsed during the busy hours of morning. Police and National Defense Force personnel rushed to the site to salvage any persons trapped in the fallen building. They were assisted by several persons who happened to be in the area during the time of the incident. Fortunately 4 people who were inside the shop were rescued without any delay and they were rushed to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. According to Asst Director General Dr. Ibrahim Yasir, these four people sustained minor injuries and they will be discharged soon. more....
